School, Programs and Teachers

School Demographics
The school serves students from the Doraville and Chamblee areas of the DeKalb County School System. The student body is composed of 80% Hispanic, 11% Black, 6% Asian, 1%, White, and less than 1% other racial groups, including 2 or more races. The total composition of the student population excluding White not of Hispanic Origin is 98.59%.

     

Teacher professional Affiliations
Teachers are members of the Association of Career and Technical association and National Business Education Association. ACTE is the largest national education association that is focused on the advancement of career and technical education in schools.

Teacher Professional Development
All teachers are certified by the State of Georgia to teach within the Business and Computer Science Pathways.

 Program Offerings
Entrepreneurship Pathway

This Career Cluster prepares students with computer skills for future college and career plans. Cluster skills mastered include planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating as well as owning and operating a successful business.

Computer Science Pathway

The Information Technology Career Cluster engages students in hands-on learning to prepare for careers that create, use, modify, and engage technology skills.
